Going Hollywood for an Invention
For more than a year Davison has been in an R&D phase, developing new systems to new technology. Davison has been experimenting with a new form of video that we call “Inventeos” and we have put together a new product video on a select number of inventions that rolls off our line. Shortly, we will roll them out to empower each and every new product — this includes inventors, corporations and our own new products. We know this will be one of the next big advances in our enabling technology of the Inventegration® process because now we can tell the story of each new product in a manner that decision-makers need. As we all know, one of the biggest challenges of any new technology is explaining it to other human beings in such a way that they “get it” and understand the purpose of the new technology. It has been an immense amount of work, testing, trials, and more with technology we have developed and put into prototype video formats until the Inventeo formula was found. Our videos show real problems being solved with real new products from our production line in such a way that we have had a great deal of licensing success with products we did during trials. Now we have finished our systems and this new enabling technology will allow us to bring more technology to life than ever before. At Davison we are already in the business of empowering our customers. We give them new product sales samples, engineering, package design, circuit board design and a whole lot more to prepare their product for potential licensing.
Needless to say, we are standing true to our mission statement and we are proud to push another new advancement out of our R&D department and into the market.
The value of actual new product sales samples continues to pay off. Of course, it’s a lot of work building actual products for the first time, but anything less is just cutting corners and doesn’t produce the desired result. Now a company we are licensing technology to can take an Inventeo to their retail buyer meetings and trade shows to drum up support for a product before tooling up factories.
The essential mission behind this initial R&D phase was to try and create a new form of media that exposes the problem the invention sets out to remedy and celebrates the solution the customer hired us to create. This worked fine for the first few video experiments, but as we wanted to ramp up for more and more, we required a highly effective system. And at Davison, systems are our specialty. The Inventegration® process is a fantastic example of our ability to take the complex workings of inventing and break it down into manageable, effective systems. So that’s exactly what we’ve done with the new product video technology we call Inventeos. This required, as you can imagine, the recruitment and implementation of editors, directors, props, actors and more. The best part about all of this is that we fit it into our Inventegration® process without raising the cost for our customers. That’s right, no additional cost. It’s just part of the inventing process with Davison where we strive to give our clients the ultimate customer experience.
